Beasiswa Thailand, The ASEAN Foundation - AIT Thailand Scholarship

The ASEAN Foundation (funded through the
Japan-ASEAN Solidarity Fund) and The Asian Institute of Technology Thailand offering scholarships as follow:
- Ten (10) full scholarships are available for ASEAN nationals who wish to pursue masters degree in AIT. The scholarship award will cover tuition and other academic fees, and living allowances for a 2-year programme.
- Four (4) scholarships will be awarded under the project “Capacity building for Gender, Poverty and Mobility Analysis of Road Transportation Development in GMS Region”, priority will be for applicants nominated by project partners. The remaining six (6) scholarships will be allocated for the various fields of study identified by ASEAN Foundation as indicated below.

To qualify, applicants must:
* Be a bonafide ASEAN national;
* Hold a bachelors degree (normally from a four-year program) or its equivalent in an appropriate field;
* Have above average undergraduate grades (minimum CGPA of 2.75); and,
* Satisfy other requirements as specified by the school you apply to.
* AIT is an international institute with English as the sole language of instruction. Admission to AIT requires proof of English language proficiency which may be satisfied in any of the following: Submission of an official test score from any of the following standardized English exams: TOEFL, IELTS, CU-TEP (Thailand ), ARC (Lao PDR).
* Agree to return and/or serve for at least 2 years in any ASEAN countries after completion of their studies.

Beasiswa UK, Vice-Chancellor of international scholarships 2008

De Montfort University is committed to supporting foreign students enjoy studying in Britain. Writing for courses starting in September 2008, De Montfort University Vice-Chancellor is very pleased scholarships 2000 pounds each. £ 2000 scholarship equivalent to a reduction of about 20% of the total tuition fees, and will be paid in full tuition fees for overseas students from the status of any country in the world who wish to study any of the following types of courses at De Montfort University, Leicester:

* Full-time degree (BA / BSc) in any subject
* Full-time postgraduate diploma and masters courses (PGDip / MA / MSc / MBA / Master of Law) on any topic
* Full-time MPhil / PhD research degrees in any subject

Scholarships are available for courses starting in September 2008 only (or between September 2008 and June 2009 at MPhil / PhD research degrees).

£ 2000 scholarships will be as one-pay leave and will be deducted from the total training fee for access to the first (or only) year of study.

Students moving to the DMU by one of our established progression schemes or joint partnerships can also apply for these scholarships, if they wish.

Only for the status of students have the right to apply for participation.

We will award up to 16 x £ 2000 scholarships for higher rates, starting in September 2008. There will be a limited number of scholarships for faculty:

* Faculty of Arts and Design: up to 3 scholarships
* The Faculty of Business and Law: up to 3 scholarships
* Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering: up to 5 scholarships
* Department of Health and Science: up to 2 scholarships
* Faculty of Humanities: up to 3 scholarships

Keep in mind that some of our courses are not included in this scheme scholarships. To confirm whether your choice, of course, included in the scheme, please contact the faculty reception team, which you are applying directly.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of submission of 500 words essay, which must be written and evaluated by the applicant group DMU representatives (each department will have its own team).

How to apply

2. Fill out and submit an application for a course you want to learn. Detailed information on how to apply can be found online at dmu.ac.uk / international and in our international prospectuses. If the application is successful, you’ll be sent a letter proposal. You may already hold a proposal for the course, starting from 2008/09.

3. If you have your offer letter (conditional or unconditional), and you want to apply for one of the VC International Fellowship 2008/09, you must write an essay 500 words.

After the deadline for applications, all the essays will be judged DMU group of representatives (one panel at the faculty) and scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are well demonstrated, according to the group, the following:

* Good understanding of employment sector you want to enter after graduation and skills you may need
* As scholarship will help you in your research and in the future

Deadline for applications
If you want to apply for international scholarships, you should have received your letter and your essay proposal submitted before August 1, 2008 . No essays received after this date will be accepted under any circumstances.
You’ll receive an e-mail confirmation of your essay submission, when we receive it. Make sure that you continue to recognition as proof of your application, if necessary.

The allocation process
After a period of 1 August 2008, the group DMU representatives (one panel at the faculty) will meet to assess all of the works. All successful applicants who were awarded scholarships will be notified by e-mail and letters (regular mail) before September 1, 2008. £ 2000 scholarships will be deducted from the total training fee of successful candidates, when you arrive for training at DMU. Detailed information on successful recipients will be available from Maria Kyrris at internationalscholarships@dmu.ac.uk after September 10, 2008, if required.

Rule

* Status only overseas students have the right to apply for scholarships.
* Both self-funding and sponsored students have the right to apply for participation.
* There is no alternative will be offered cash and scholarship can not be transferred to any other course in DMU or to any other nominated beneficiary.
* Valid only for entry in September 2008 (or between September 2008 and June 2009 for research applicants) - scholarships can not be postponed from filing until September 2009 or later.
* For foreign students who are also entitled to 5% discount for early payment of their assessed contributions in full in applications, £ 2000 Scholarship will be deducted from the first full contribution, then 5% discount from the fee reduction.
* These scholarships will be awarded in conjunction with any other scholarship, such as scholarships for graduates of 2008 - students can receive a scholarship DMU only, as a rule, one of greater value.
* If the applicant is available scholarships, and then withdraw their application, or do not sign up for the course for any reason, scholarship is revoked.
* University reserves the right to withdraw scholarships, fellowships or not to provide, at any time before they are distributed.

Free Scholarship Programs by President UniversityPresident University offers many scholarship and financial aid programs to students who show great potential for future academic studies and those with financial need. Scholarship offers depend on several factors including high school performance, performance on the President University Entrance Exams, and the student’s family income level.



GOLD and SILVER Scholarship grants from President University for college education PU will provide annual scholarship grants to academically-gifted and bright individuals from low income backgrounds in order to help them with their college education, while at the same time recognizing their exemplary academic performance in the course of obtaining their degrees.
Based on its financial capability and position, PU will determine how many scholarship grants will be given to students on an annual basis.
The scholarships are valid for a year.
The scholarships may be extended based on an evaluation of the student’s performance.

GRANTS - Scholarships from a sponsoring individual or organization, foreign or local PU welcomes the support of individuals or organizations willing to help financing the college education of students.
PU will abide the terms and conditions set by the sponsoring organization or individual.
In the absence of the sponsor’s terms and conditions, the PU policy on scholarship shall be used as basis for setting the terms and conditions.

Eligibility Requirements - To be eligible for the scholarships, the candidate must fulfill the following requirements:
Graduated from high school with a minimum grade of 7.5 - 8.0
Passed the university placement tests with a Rank 1 rating (minimum 80 marks average during the Entrance Tests).
Comes from a family with a gross annual income of less than Rp 36 million per year* (or its equivalent denomination in foreign currency).

*Reference: Monthly industry minimum wage of Rp. 964.000 per month per capita employment (BPS Economic Indicators, February 2007).
Assume both parents are working.

In order to continue with the scholarships, the student must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 per annum. Related terms and conditions apply.

The ASEAN Scholarships For Indonesia, Beasiswa Asean

The ASEAN Scholarships aim to provide opportunities to the young people of ASEAN to develop their potential and equip them with skills that will enable them to confidently step into the new millennium.

The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Students from Indonesia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.

Eligibility

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

Nationals of Indonesia
Between 14+ to 16+ years old (as of January 2009)
Sat for 2008 SMP 3 National Final Evaluation Examination (UAN) and have done consistently well in school

Waiver of GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level examination fees (once only, if applicable)
Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover
Bridging courses (if applicable, in Singapore before start of course)
There is no bond attached to the scholarship

World Bank Master Scholarship 2009in Economics, at University of Tsukuba Japan



University of Tsukuba offers Policy Management master program.This Program has been operating from April 1995 and it is the oldest Partner Program in Japan of the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, a large scholarship program funded by the Government of Japan and managed by the World Bank Institute in Washington. In addition to that sponsorship, which ensures the award of ten scholarships to successful applicants to this Program, the University of Tsukuba hold similar arrangements with the Inter-American Development Bank.

Applicants admitted to the Program in Economic and Public Policy Management are eligible for scholarships provided by the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) of the World Bank and the Japan-IDB Scholarship Program of the Inter-American Development Bank provided that they meet the specific requirements of each program as described below.

Fifteen scholarships are provided by the JJ/WBGSP for this purpose. To be eligible, a candidate must be a national of a World Bank member country that is currently eligible to borrow from the Bank. In addition, Executive Directors, their alternates, and staff of the World Bank Group,including consultants, as well as their close relatives, are excluded from consideration.

Candidates should also be aware that, according to the general selection criteria of the World Bank,“while applicants from allWorld Bank member countries may apply for a JJ/WBGSP scholarships, the program gives priority to World Bank member countries currently eligible to borrow,especially low and middle-income countries.The program also gives priority to: women; applicants with few other resources and from lower social and economic classes;applicants who have not had previous opportunities for graduate study outside their home country; and applicants who do not already hold a graduate degree from an industrialized country” (for further information, see http://www.worldbank.org/wbi).

In addition to these fifteen scholarships, the Japan-IDB Scholarship Program of the Inter-American Development Bank offers no less than two scholarships to applicants from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Applicants from this region will be advised on their options at the proper time

These benefits cover only the scholarship recipient and are not extendable to family members. Other costs not covered by the scholarship:

*additional travel during the course of the Program
*expenses related to research,supplementary educational materials,or participation in workshops,seminars, or internships while at the University of Tsukuba.

The scholarships benefits cover:

* economy class travel between the home country and Tsukuba, plus a travel allowance of US$ 500 for each one-way trip
*tuition and other Program fees
*a monthly stipend for subsistence needs roughly equivalent to that given by the scholarships program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (currently 170,000 yen monthly)
*medical insurance costs

The maximum period of funding is two years.

Recipients of JJ/WBGSP scholarships will not be eligible for employment with the World Bank for a period of three years after the completion of the Program. Those obtaining a scholarship from the Japan-IDB Scholarship Program of the Inter-American Development Bank are required to return to their native country for at least two years upon completion of their degree. As in the case of the World Bank, Executive Directors, staff and their close relatives are excluded from consideration.

Pemerintah Australia melalui AusAID (the Australian Agency for International Development) menyediakan 300 beasiswa Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) 2009 untuk PNS, Tenaga LSM Indonesia, Dosen Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dan Swasta, dan perorangan untuk mengikuti program pasca sarjana (Master dan Doktor) di institusi-institusi terkemuka di Australia.
Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) are funded by the Government of Australia for postgraduate study at Australian universities. The main goal of ADS is to promote Indonesia’s human resource capacity to contribute to:
- Sustainable Growth and Economic Management;
- Democracy, Justice and Good Governance;
- Investing in People; and
- Safety and Peace.

Pendaftaran telah dibuka pada tanggal 16 Juni - 5 September 2008, dengan mengirimkan Application Form.

Specifically, Candidates must :
- Be applying for courses that fall within the four areas of development priority (see page below);
- Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.9 (on a scale of maximum 4.0) and an English language proficiency of at least 5.0 in IELTS (or 500 in Institutional TOEFL or 170 in International TOEFL). The IELTS or TOEFL result must be current (a test result obtained in 2007 or 2008 will be considered current);
- Already hold an undergraduate degree, if applying for a Masters;
- Already have a Masters, if applying for a Doctorate;
- Apply for a degree at a level higher than their current highest qualification;
- If applying for a Doctorate, applicants must be staff of universities, higher education institutions, research institutes, key policy makers and targeted candidates in other agencies associated with AusAID activities. It is highly desirable for Doctorate applicants to have a letter of support from an Australian university for their proposed field of study;
- Answer all relevant questions on the application form;
- Be willing and available to take full-time (Monday - Friday, 08.00 - 16.00)English for Academic Purposes(EAP) training in Indonesia prior to studying in Australia, if offered a scholarship;
- Be not older than 42 years old at time of application.

Persyaratan Pendaftar Beasiswa Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) 2009:
In General, Candidates must :
- Be an Indonesian citizen and not have permanent residence in Australia or New Zealand;
- Not be married or engaged to a person who is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residence;
- Satisfy Australian Government requirements for international student entry to Australia (health, character etc);
- Not hold a scholarship that would give similar benefits;
- Not have held an Australian Government Scholarship in the 12 months preceding the application;
- Be applying to commence a new course of study and not be seeking support through ADS for a course already commenced in Australia;
- Be able to take up the scholarship in the year for which it is offered; and
- Satisfy the admission requirements of the Australian tertiary institution in which the course is to be undertaken.

Kandidat peserta harus melengkapi isian formulir aplikasi, menjawab seluruh pertanyaan yang relevan dan menyerahkan secara personal atau melalui pos/kurir ke kantor ADS Jakarta. Formulir aplikasi yang telah dilengkapi harus diserahkan kembali ke kantor ADS sesegera mungkin. Aplikasi anda harus sudah diterima paling lambat per cap pos pada tanggal penutupan aplikasi yang telah jelas disebutkan. Sedangkan bagi yang mengantarkan langsung secara personal ke kantor ADS, jika surat aplikasi anda diterima setelah tanggal penutupan maka tidak akan diproses lebih lanjut.
